What Power Supply Do I Need ?

What kind of spec of regulated power supply do i need? If you have been following my repair articles you would know that i’m using a digital regulated power supply to troubleshoot and repair electronic boards especially to locate shorted components in the boards. The specification of my regulated power suppy is it has a voltage range from 0 to 30 volts, 3 Amp and a digital panel to show current drawn. Besides using the regulated power supply to find shorted components, i also use it to power up heater (filament), micro-p and other circuits for troubleshooting purposes.
