5V USB Adapter Repaired
Using this adapter with my Magnifier glass since very long time. I was inspecting one PCB for dry solder & found LED in magnifier glass was on & off in a short interval. Checked Magnifier with another adapter it works perfect.
Opened adapter for inspection.
Everything seems Ok with no physical damage, no dry solder.
At the time of opening the adapter one wire connected to plug pin was fell down. So I thought I found the culprit.
Replaced both the wires & put this circuit on power, but same problem.
Now checked all the parts on cold testing found one capacitor suspected which show no reading on cold check. (Not charging, Discharging).
I checked circuit on the power without capacitor, LED on Magnifier is light up, but flickering. So I replaced the capacitor from my salvaged parts box.
After replacing the capacitor, I connected circuit on power with magnifier attached to it.
Checked for few minutes & packed the Adapter.
Now it is working fine.

Glad that you were able to find the small but very important culprit in your 5v-usb-adapter to fix it!
These small e-caps are in a way like small memory cells that kind of memorize any applied dc voltage level for a period of time.
That is in fact also the way how I used it in my old article: https://jestineyong.com/diy-fully-automated-light-controlled-fan-regulator/.
Without this tiny e-cap also that entire Fan controller adapter project wouldn't have worked at all!

Thanks!Albert,
Automated Light control is very precise work project by you.i was bit confused that time because in schematic none of capacitors shows Polarity.
