DVD Hi-Fi Tray Can’t Be Opened Solved

Customer sent in this SINGER DVD Hi Fi with the complaint of tray can’t be opened. The first thing to do is to remove the cover and check if there is anything wrong with the mechanism system.

I was surprised to see there were gecko eggs and feces blocking the gear-see the photo below:

I had to clean all the parts and refill mechanism grease.

After that I had to adjust or set back the Timing wheel in correct position.

Once done I tested the tray again and it can be opened and can even played the DVD disc.
