Happy Chinese New Year

Tomorrow the Chinese across the world will be celebrating the New Year. Afterward i will be heading to my sister house where all of my family members will gather and have our reunion dinner there. After the dinner, again i will meet up with my in law and their family members at another restaurant to have another reunion dinner. It will be a bit rush but the time that we will spend and fellowship with the family members are well worth.

Here I’m taking this opportunity to wish all of my Chinese readers of this blog and also the ERG members “A Happy, Prosperous and Blessed Chinese New Year”.

   Hi Jestine,

   I thought I remembered you were from China so I am wondering what city you are from? Unfortunately, the only things I know about China are what I learned from reading Pearl S. Buck's novel entitled "The Good Earth" which was published in 1931. Ms. Buck received the Pulitzer Prize for the Novel in 1932 and the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1938. If you have not read "The Good Earth" want to learn more about her book, all you need to do is google "The Good Earth" and you can download about 3 pages of information. I know many, many things have changed in 78+ years but found the book very interesting when I read it in college back in the 70s. In any case, if you can provide me the name of your city; then I can learn more about your city and it's culture.
