Computer Power Supply Problem
Computer power supply problem can be categorize into 5 parts ie; no power, low output power, high output power, intermittent no power and power shut down (fan turned for a while and stop). Troubleshooting and repair computer power supply now compare to last time was totally different. Those days, the power supply were quite expensive and worth to repair and power supply parts like the TL494 and the LM339 were easily accessible. But now, it has lots of different and complicated designs and cheap too that makes me stop repairing them.
Not only that, some of the computer power supply parts were not easy to get, even if you can find one the price are most likely expensive than buying a new unit. This haven’t include shipping cost you ordered from oversea! However, you may still can repair the power supply if you wish to hoping that the faulty parts were not the power IC and the secondary side IC’s and only minor components that need replacement. You have to justify your precious time whether the computer power supply problem worth it to repair or not.

Hi,
It could be the surrounding resistors or capacitors have problem. I came across resistors open circuited and capacitor shorted that caused power good 0 VOLT. Try change the IC's, it could also cause similar problem too. By the way, what is your name?
