One AC Adapter Model Mass Power Saved From Dump
This AC Adapter belonged to the Hospital where I worked and was brought to me in dead condition. I brought it home and checked to confirm the complaint. The ACA was already opened by someone in the maintenance department, which saved my time.
Let us have a look at inside:
The 10 ohm resistor was open. The Bridge Rectifier was short.
I replaced both and checked the output after applying power and it was correctly showing.
I checked all components in the primary and secondary and found it to be ok.
There were no dry solders too. Mission accomplished adding satisfaction to gain entry to the collection bag.

you can open most of adapters easily using Petrol or gasoline. Just apply on bonding line of Plastic wait for 10 minutes & you can open the adapter just by pulling the top & base cover.

I have bunch of old Power Adapters sometimes it is useful for any testing purpose like i am having some old mobile phone charger adapters which i can use to test LED with use of appropriate Resistor in series.But I hide all this so called junk storage from my wife... you know very well why?no wife likes junk if it is not related to them..Lol...Ha Ha Ha

Ha! Ha! Little do they realise that we ourselves have become junks! (LOL) The scenario in the house of every technician working from home, would more or less be same! I keep getting brickbats from my wife almost ever day, as I have kept sets in the sit out, my room and floor side of a couple of cots in the other bedrooms!
