I turned Off the unit & removed from the power & using my LED Tester checked all the LEDs one by one all of them working OK.

So why middle section not working?

Again connected the unit on Power the test on Live power by shorting LEDs one by one.

So I found culprit LED Here. Checked under my magnifier glass I found crack on the LED.

So after finding culprit LED I just soldered one jumper wire on it because I do not have exact replacement LED.

Now most of LED Bulb & Batten using current control IC hence it will draw current accordingly without damaging other Leds.

The idea of shorting the LED was very clever, especially using a well-insulated tweezer! But the chances of failure of other LEDs one by one or part by part, are very high. Though the unit is your own, you are likely to get a bad reputation from the queen! (LOL)

    Sir,
According to history, if peace was to be maintained in the province, the queen had to be kept happy at all the times.(this may not possible all the time but we have to try)Yes,the danger has definitely passed for now. ha ha ha.....

These type of self made JIGS are very helpful, when you get same type of equipment for repair.

Absolutely commendable ! A big lesson from a small repair. However in this error of LED lamps its easy to find a spare LED from a salvaged lamp. They are aplenty. However their could be a challenge of removing the LED from the board without destroying it. You know, some are quite small. I find your almost similar LED tester very useful for my repair of small electronic gadgets like small radios. Now Engineer, man to man talk; you can only please some 'people' when they are in their right mood, some times even killing a lion to save the persons life will not be appreciated, but surprisingly the little favours that you do make them look delighted and make you feel like a king ! So Engineer Yogesh, how do you handle the situation whereby you are unnecessarily interrupted during a deep concentration in, say, a stubborn tv repair, merely to put on the security light yet the switch that they always put on is more close to them ? Again shortly later, "I cant hear our TV while in the kitchen, put up the volume !"

If you are in your comfort zone, you can decide according to your needs and it depends on what comes next in your comfort zone. "I can't hear the TV while I'm in the kitchen, turn up the volume!" This is definitely outside of your comfort zone. Be polite when responding (LOL).

From experience we can be sure that these led batten lights will start to fail even after a successfully replaced bad led. Mainly because of the poor heat control because of the very thin pcb koper layers without any cooling metal in the very small plastic housings. The common 1.2 meter long led lights (on 230VAC with a dc converter in the tube) with about 88 leds in them at least have a bigger round housing and also work much longer than these batten lights do.

    Albert,
Earlier older LED lights does not come with current control and PWM IC..now in new generation LED Bulb & Battens having aluminum strip under the LED's which can absorb the heat and also driver circuit is having current control and PWM IC which can act accordingly...i have working batten repaired same way 3 years ago still working.sorry i missed to take the photograph of driver circuit.
