Thank you so much for the news letter. Before two days I have repaired a Brother printer for the same complaint. I fist used a varister from a computer SMPS but it burns out immediately after powering on. I think it was a 110 volt varister since the computer SMPS is made to operate both on 110V and 220V. So I put another varister from an LCD TV. Now it is woriking fine. I have also replaced 3.15A fuse. Do you know the difference between 3A and 3.15A fuse?.

      Hi Mohammed,

The different is the ampere. It depends on the design. Some draw heavier current will use the 3.15 amp.

      Hi Vijay,

It depends on which field you are in. If you troubleshoot audio equipment you can use inject the signal and see if there is any output. Other repair field not necessary have to use signal injection.
