About Electrolytic Capacitor Test

I checked an e- cap 22 micro 400V  with analogue multimeter at x1k. The pointer go charge and discharge to infinity  but when i put meter to 10k the pointer charge and discharge till reach middle of meter did not go to infinity, is this cap good or leaky?

Answer:

It is not accurate to test e-caps with analog meter because even though it can perform the charge and discharge the cap well it can still be bad. You really need an ESR meter because you can be misled into believing a bad cap as good. Even if you have a digital capacitance meter it is still not good enough. The capacitance value can be good and yet it still have problem. Check the article below:
