This ATI VGA Graphics Card Model Rage 128Pro Ultra GL AGP was brought to me due to a malfunction.

Look at the photos below of the card.

The card was inspected at simple sight and look what was found in the photo below.

This e-cap was taken out from the circuit.

Of course this component had to be substituted.

Anyway its neighbor e-cap was tested with the Blue ESR Meter and the result was good (look at the photo below).

When the Graphics Card was inserted in the slot of the Motherboard (for test), and the PC was turned on, look at the result.

As you can see the VGA Card was saved from the dump.

Good job Humberto and thanks for the article. The Blue ESR Meter is a great meter to have. Did you know you can test the ESR of batteries with it as well?

I wouldn't try it with a car battery, which I'm sure you know the high amps they have. But it works with smaller batteries that we use; 9V, 18650 & related, AA, AAA, D and so on.
Just make a record of the average ESR's of the new batteries you use and check them periodically. If the ESR starts to rise you can keep a closer eye on them.

Those capacitors look like they may work as a pair, so I was wondering why you didn't replace them both.

Remember I changed the bad one with a similar in values, and the other was tested on as perfect with the Blue ESR Meter, look at the photos.
