My nephew called me Sunday night and opened the camera for me to show his TV. He said that he connected his PS4 slim to the TV and there was no display. I asked him to shine a light over the screen to see any dim images and he confirmed that.

My nephew brought this TV the next day so I can take a look and get it fixed. It was confirmed that the back lights on this TV were faulty and needed replacement.

I will not bore you with the process of taking this TV apart. I took the cover, the frame, the diffusers sheets off to get to the back light so I can do the replacement.

If you look to the photo, someone else was in this TV. One of the lights was off and a short was added to pins so the whole light strip will come on. When I tested the LED’s with a tester one light was not coming on.

My son was in the shop and the testing of the LED lights using the LED tester triggered his interest and wanted to test the lights as well. Here I added two LED lights strips to the TV and my son is trying the tester on one of the strips and I could tell the loved doing that.

The process of putting everything back together started and the TV was ready to be powered on.

My nephew was excited about the repair and he was calling me almost every half an hour to check for update on the repair so I told him the TV is up and running just come and pick up.

My brother and my nephew Jonathan came to pick up the TV. He was so happy to see the TV working and was excited to go home and plug in the PS4 slim that I repaired for him as well and start having fun.

Mission Accomplished.
