An Air Condition Unit Works Fine But Lights On Panel Need New Working Ones
My cousin who works in an organization for the physical challenged people brought me this unit for repair.
He explained it works just fine but needed some maintenance touch ups and new working light to be soldered on board.
Some lights are missing and there are some that are left on board but I decided to de solder them off and throw them away;
just replace all with new ones so I did not bother to check if they are working or not.
Before installing these lights I opened the cover and dusted the area with air blower and they already look way much better than before.
Look what I found; the earth main line was disconnected inside the machine.
That is a very dangerous thing to have especially if there are people touching this machine may be children or adult so I reconnected the ground cable back and proceeded to do more check up on this device.
I found this board with a lot of cold soldering so I went ahead with the cleaning of it and then apply fresh solder then proceeded to soldering the light bulbs on it.
These light bulbs work on 220 AC volts; in my area they call it signal light bulbs and they are very cheap for buy that is why I replaced all them off.
My cousin came and picked up the machine and took it back to his working place; everything seems to be working just fine.

Neon Bulbs are degrading early, why not tried LED.

Yogesh: I did not think about replacing with LED's but Neon Lights were available and the repair was needed right away. have a blessed day

From the looks on the photo those 230V AC light bulbs are neon signal light bulbs? Which probably means that neon that ignites at about 80V needs serie resistors here to protect them from the AC over-voltage.
