Aroma Diffuser Heater Repaired
Once I powered the Aroma diffuser in my house & circuit breaker in my house got tripped.
Removed aroma diffuser heater from the plug & again set the tripper on working mode & house light is back. For inspection I opened the unit it giving some burning smell.
So checked resistance of the internal Heating coil it shows 2.9kΩ seems OK.
Now checked Resistor connected to the LED look discolored so checked it on Multimeter it does not show any reading. As per the color code, resistor is of 100Ω & It shows Open circuit. Checked Diode connected in series with the resistor, it shows short circuit.
I assume shorting is because of manufacturing negligence.
Because solder joints on wire are open near metal nut & bolt fitting & by touching these wires cause shorting. Arranged 100KΩ Resistor.
Removed Burnt Resistor & soldered new resistor.
& same way installed new Diode and plugged the unit on power for testing.
It works perfect, removed unit & covered open wires using rubber sleeve nearby Nut & Bolt area & assembled the unit.

These aroma diffuser heaters are apparently always easily fixed.
Circuit breakers that get tripped are always a good indication that something is wrong and unsafe!
I experienced the same issue recently in my home not knowing what tripped the power until I opened my very old washing machine. Finding out it had leaked water inside that made the heater element go out of order. And because of all corroded rusted parts inside the machine no longer could be fixed. Although the motor and waterpump were still fine, everything therefore had to be replaced by a brandnew Samsung washingmachine.

Many times we think that if things are going well then why should we open it? But in these type of devices periodically Inspection is good habit.which we technicians never follow on our own devices.
