Capacitor Color Code

capacitor color code

For beginners- if i talk about resistor color code you would not be surprised because you can find one easily in any circuit board but if i talk about capacitor color code, you may ask how come i have not seen such capacitors in the market. This type of capacitor can be easily found before 80’s and now you can hardly see it in the consumer electronic equipment made after 80’s. I’m not sure whether do you still see this kind of capacitor nowadays? I would like to hear from you. You may click on the photo to know more about the capacitor and resistor color code and some other useful electronics information.

    HI Beh,

If you count like a resistor then you will get 4700pf which is also 4.7nf 10% 250 volt.

    HI Nazari,

The best is to use digital capacitance meter (for non polar) and BLue ESR meter ( for electrolytic capacitor). Multimeter is not accurate in checking capacitors.
