E0 Error Solved In ADELI Induction Cooker Model AL-2000A1
This Induction Cooker (Hereinafter referred to by short form ‘IC’ in this article) had visited me in April 2021 and made a revisit in July 2024 (after more than three years) with the complaint that it showed E0 error. Those of you, who are interested in finding how I solved E2 error in this IC, can please see the same here :

Let us look at the inside condition of this IC this time:
My first job without any doubt was to clean up the inside thoroughly after taking out the boards and fan, which I did happily.
Since E Zero error is a very common indication and there could be many reasons, major of which are (1) Bad high voltage capacitors (Black) (2) Temperature Sensor defective (3) Low feedback voltage to IC from three places through high watt resistors; one series from B+ of Bridge Rectifier, one after the coil and one from the input for primary switching (4) Gate drive is not ok. Some tracks or caps in the line to be checked. (5) IGBT Defective Etc. Etc.
The black capacitors were removed and checked and found to be ok. The temperature sensor in the centre of the coil was checked for its ohms in Digital Multimeter and a hot soldering iron was kept on top it upon which the resistance dropped indicating that it was functioning well. The high watt resistors of 300K and 330K were checked and found to be out of range. So, these were replaced. The 8050 & 8550 gate drive transistors were replaced though these were found ok on cold tests, as these might malfunction on load. The fan was found damaged and I replaced that too. After all these rectifications of possible faults, I reassembled the boards and applied power after keeping the control panel outside.
But it still showed the E0 error! As the gate drive was missing, I suspected the IGBT. So once again dismantled the board and replaced the IGBT too. This IGBT did not show any short on checking, so probably it was open! If it was short, fuse would go first or MCB of the mains AC would trip. Reassembled the boards and applied power to see gladly that the error had gone and the water in the vessel got boiled. Fixing only two screws at the bottom, took it to my kitchen for trials for two days and found it to be working very well. Then fixed all screws and packed the defective components and moved it out for delivery to customer.
Mission accomplished with lessons learnt and satisfaction gained!

Congratulations!your effort for us,
In these type of IC IGBT is main culprit.
