ERG Members Email Accounts Hacked

By on April 27, 2012

I have received many emails from ERG members where the email message was about clicking on certain websites and that they got robbed and asked to bank in the money. I knew those emails were not sent by the original owner. It was due to that their email accounts were hacked and those meassages were sent by the hackers.

My brother who owns a hosting company told me that if you wants to have your password protected and difficult for hackers to break into your email or any account (even in banking account password) you need to insert these characters like "@", "#", "$","%","^" and together with small and big letters alphabet in your paswword. Example of password like AcZb%@!xW. With this kind of password the hackers will have a hard time in accesing your account.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for this info Jestine, I get suspicious email from even my own contacts advising me to click a link for more info. If you click on that link you find that your computer will appear to be infected with virus and then a message will prompt you to click ok to clean up your computer.
This is when you install a program into your computer which will be running in the background hacking your data (and even password).
In case you click such a link please don’t click ok to continue, its better you shutdown your computer, butter still don’t ever click on a link in any of your email if you are not sure it’s a genuine.
    Regards Humphrey

      Hi Humphrey,

Lots of people get their computer infected with virus when they click on those links. The users thought that the email was actually sent by their friend.
