In Came This Boat Soundbar Avante 1800 With A Different Complaint
This was brought to me in September, 2025 with the complaint that a pop sound was heard after which it went dead. I had serviced the power supply board and that is covered by me in a different article, link of which is provided below:

This came back to me in October, 2025 stating that the volume is going up or going down on its own. When the customer reported this, I told her to set the volume at a particular level and immediately remove the battery from the remote, as there was always a chance of a button stuck in it. She, having experience in doing electronic service as a part of her curriculum, followed all my instructions one by one and brought it to me finally as no solution given by me worked. When I applied power and tried, I noticed that the volume was going up and down and finally it stayed put at the lowest leveI. Opened the sound bar by gently peeling off the grill, which had a bend to hold in place at the top and slight bend at the bottom to slide in. I have explained all that in the other article. The manual control panel was fit at the extreme right and in order to get access to that, I had to remove the side bracket.
When I tried to unscrew, the holding tip was found broken in pieces under it, which was an indication of some fall or hit on that side. Anyhow, I removed the control panel, which can be slid out from the top, after taking away the two-wire connector under it. Once the control panel, which had five press-to-on SMD switches, was removed, the volume level was steady and it responded to the commands from the RC unit. Though I checked the buttons in my analogue multimeter, I could not find any leak and the switches were functioning normally. So, the problem could be leakage, which can be confirmed only after replacement. But these small SMD switches were not available and I discussed the impasse with the customer, who opted to control it from RC unit and did not want to have this manual control. So, that saved my further hunting and restoration work of that section. Fixed the panel back in its case and inserted it from the top like how it was before and left the connector out.
Then turned my attention to the two broken holders. I removed the two hooks of a transformer case and flattened it well and fixed it on the broken stubs using Superglue and strengthened the sides by sprinkling the bonding powder.
I am sharing pictures of the work done, which are self-explanatory:
Fixed the front grill and played some songs through blue tooth and tried varying the volume using the RC unit and it was found working very well. Shared the good news with the customer by pictures and short videos and also the modification done by me to the screw holding bracket. She was very happy and I waived the charges and treated it as a complimentary service!
Mission accomplished with double satisfaction getting added to the collection!

No doubt another happy made customer! Although I wonder if the placed back board with the five press-to-on SMD switches on it still may cause another volume problem again next time?

I took interest only much later in this repair. Pressed for time, I had brushed aside this article as the name Soundbar Boat Avante made me think its kind of a water vessel. I look at your past long struggles with certain repairs and wonder why failure to repair the switch panel was such a big deal. For goodness sake even just replacing the single volume control button wouldnt have been so much a bother. The remote wasnt serviced, it may be with you soon, she may really not be off the hook yet. Thanks for finding it in your heart to quash the bill.

Many thanks for your wonderful comments and suggestions. The customer never used the buttons at all, and they do not want to also. They preferred to sit at a distance and adjust everything!
