LED Monitor Panel Circuit Repair Basic Understanding
Received one Monitor for repair and it was having no display white screen with horizontal lines. On testing I found screen also cracked from one corner which was not fixable. So after discussion with customer he admits that this monitor was returned from the an authorized service center & he got estimate as good as new monitor price.
So to reconfirm, he sent to me the Monitor to see if I can get it repair. If can’t then I can keep the Monitor to salvage the parts.
So screen replacement is not advisable because of very high price. I opened the Monitor for removing power Kit & logic card and kept it as salvage.
Before discarding the screen, I decided to do some R&D on the screen circuit. So opened the Monitor.
So removed & salvaged everything, after removing I traced DC to DC IC & prepared diagram so that it can be used as reference when troubleshooting Monitor or TV.
Here I prepared Diagram of DC to DC IC signal path of panel main working voltages.
This DC to DC section can cause fault symptoms like…
1) White display with no Image.
2) Horizontal Lines.
3) Ghosting Image.
4) Negative Image.
Hope this will help for reference.

The diversity of televisions is too large for my taste to be involved in a lot of repairing of those devices.
And sadly the nowadays modern led televisions have a big problem with those vertical placed ledstrips that in time will loose their led diffuser lenses that drop off and cause all those very brights visual white 'sun' spots. By my brother's LG they drop off one after the other. And the risk to break the very thin 50 inch glass while fixing those diffusers back on is too great to take that chance! Especially when all those lenses keep falling off!

I just got a 32" lcd tube samsung panel cracked last Wednesday while trying to fix it back.Panel is too delicate to handle.Thanks for sharing.
