LG Microwave Oven With “No Heating Symptoms” Now Repaired

I received this microwave from a customer with no heating symptoms. According to the customer it is a small problem since the machine seems to be working well. Microwave fan, bulb and the front keypad seem to be working well and setting cooking time is okay.

After setting the time you press the start button and the count begins to the end.

You open the door slowly and carefully but after checking the load(water) you find it is still cold.

From my experience this problem is usually caused by failure of one the High Voltage circuit component which includes, High voltage transformer, High voltage capacitor, Magnetron, High voltage diode.

After checking these components, I found them all okay and now was left with one alternative. You can learn more about the microwave oven high voltage circuits and how to test the components in my latest book being sold at amazon here

To change the magnetron directly.

After changing the magnetron I re-assembled the oven and now the machine was working perfectly well.

Note:Unlike other home electrical appliances, microwave repair is the most dangerous,  both to the user and service personnel so it is very important to observe safety measures when working on this gadget.

Thank you friends

A quick and to the point repair! I guess that the customer just had to wait a few weeks before the replacement Microwave magnetron element had arrived. Having these exact same parts in store is usually not the case.
