Manicure Pedicure Rotary Tool Repaired
Received Manicure Pedicure Rotary Tool Repair stating speed was not controlling.
So for further inspection I dismantled the unit.
Visual inspection I found IC AMS1117 & nearby capacitor were dry solder.
Removed IC & Capacitor.
Cleaned solder pads using desolder wick.
Checked both for the working condition using Multimeter in diode beep mode, found both working good. Checked AMS 1117 IC Input & output Voltages found OK.
Both soldered back on its Position.
Cleaned PCB using IPA. Checked voltages found OK.
Cleaned Controller POT using WD40 & re-assembled everything for testing. Found working ok.
Handed over to the customer for his satisfaction test. He checked & I can see sign of satisfaction on his face.

Motor is in good condition Because in this concern it does not required more RPM.

Is WD40 a suitable product to clean potentiometer tracks?

Yes,WD40 works as a contact cleaner but don't use it excessive.

No, standard WD40 should never be used for cleaning potentiometer tracks.
However, the company behind WD40 also makes a switch cleaning spray, so I assume this is what Yogesh used.

I used multi-Use WD40, anything we use excessive will spoil the task, for this type of work i never spray directly,i just put the drop on targeted area using Syringe needle which avoid excessive waste of the material.
