MCB Tripping Solved In SHARP Fridge Model SJ-K31S-SL
This is the fridge used in my home and this time, for a change let me say the customer is my wife! (LOL) When I saw that the fridge was not getting power, I checked the MCB and found it to have tripped. Since the same MCB handles other connections too, I disconnected all other load and tried again and found MCB tripping confirming that the fridge was the defective source.
As I did not know which portion had to be opened for further inspection, I sought help from my techie friends, one of whom promptly called me up to give guidance. There was a connection diagram sticker behind the fridge, which I am providing below for those who might require:
The control board was located on the right side of the chiller unit, which has a knob for selection of temperature. Let us have a look:
I slid out the door from the hinges and took out the chiller tray, of-course by first taking out all the stored vessels. Then there were two screws which held the control unit in place, both of which could be seen only by putting my head in wearing a headlight.
After removing the two screws, the unit was found hanging on two slide-to-remove locks.
I gently slid the unit out from the top and removed the connector from behind. The wiring is concealed behind the internal thermal protection sheet. I am giving two more pictures of the unit for the sake of those who might not have any experience in handling such jobs:
On opening the black box, I could access the control board and I removed it from its locks and took it out. The AC in portion was found charred due to bursting of one CVR, picture of which is provided below:
After cleaning the board thoroughly, I replaced the CVR after checking and ensuring that there were no other defective components in the board and applied power. I could read a 15V output from the DC supply and the relay got on, indicating that the CVR was the only defective component. I could not succeed to read the number of the SMD IC that handled the temperature/compressor control. I assembled the unit back and fixed it in the fridge and applied power. I was happy to see it working.
You will perhaps observe a tape on the chiller tray door. I happened to break the door in my unskilled attempts to put it back. I may need to remove it and join it or get a replacement, if available. Though my wife was present in the kitchen when this happened, she kept mum without any visible reactions; perhaps it could be a silent thanks for bringing the fridge to working condition so quickly!
So, it happened to be my day and satisfactions of different kinds got entry into the collection bag!

Good fix! Sir
I think you have to use stabilizer,It is also an exciting task to discover and learn fault detection techniques in various types of equipment to repair them.
When some damage happens in someone's presence, they tend to just watch silently and not react. But sometimes, we can't hide our nervous smiles and start feeling warm even in the cold.ha ha ha......
