Mini USB Bluetooth FM Radio Receiver Repaired
Problem Reported: Songs Playing through SAREGAMA mode (playing songs through Internal Storage) is not proper. Songs are intermittent skipping and through pressing volume up & down it changes the Modes instead of controlling volume.
So for inspection I have to open the unit.
After opening the Unit I removed the PCB from the BOX. On visual inspection no physical damage found.
There are too many micro switches. Cleaned All the switches using WD40 Spray.
Now removed Charging port PCB for Inspection.
On PCB I found One USB Pen drive is connected for internal song storage. I removed USB pen drive and connected to my PC and while checking File structure I found it showing some vague characters with file name which indicates abnormal condition.
And while playing files it does not opening these songs are in MP3 format. That means all the files were corrupted. I reformatted the USB pen drive and copy some songs from my collections. After all process now it is time to check the Unit for performance.
I have inserted the USB drive and placed the PCB on its location and turned on the unit and the unit is working perfect. Reassembled the unit after 15 Minutes of playing songs. Checked everything is perfect there is no skipping the songs and volume control also working fine.
Conclusion: USB Pen drive is got corrupted may be because of jerk / Loose connection as you see in picture there is no locking is provided. Note: Just forgot to apply hot glue to the edge of the USB Pen drive which keeps the pen drive on its place.

You are very honest and straightforward in your articles and that is evident from your admission of mistakes committed. A quality, every one of us should have! Many thanks for a good guidance on how to open such sets! It is a tricky way and I can perhaps some time, if and when I get a similar set for repair! All the best, dear!

These USB memory sticks are still a kind of mystery even if we know how these NAND memory chips are addressed by their each unique USB controller IC's. Because we still never can be sure when they quit working, corrupt their data or why they sometimes are completely undetectable on certain USB ports. So good thing you managed to skip out anything that was not the reason of causing this MP3 player problem.

Albert, Most of the time problem occurs when removing USB device without turning it off or still it is in the process in background if using in laptop or PC it is always remember to remove the device by "safe to remove hardware"Process or chances are high to get your USB Pen drive from Fat32 to RAW File System.

I know dear Yogesh, but still many new SD cards and USB memory sticks have very peculiar characteristics. Like if I order 10 identical 16GB SD cards from a seller and check each of them in an SD to USB reader adapter they all just work fine. But when I plug each of them directly into an SD card reader, not all of them seem to work without any problem? And it probably also depends on the controller inside the SD adapter reader, and maybe on the reading speed of the controller chip?
