Samsung Computer Monitor Saved From Water Seepage
This computer monitor suffered inadvertent water seepage and was brought to me for recovery. As the monitor was kept aside without using for a few days, before it was brought to me for check-up, the inside was dry, but had patches of water seepage.
After cleaning the board thoroughly, I did a dry solder patch up. Then when I applied power, I got the desired voltage outputs, indicating that the PS board was saved.
Then connected the mother board and panel, and once again checked up the voltages. These were steady. The display was also back giving me a relief.
I fixed the monitor back to its cover and kept it running for a few hours and did not find any problem.
Thus, the mission was accomplished without any complications envisaged, adding satisfaction to the collection bag.
