Samsung LCD Monitor SA300N Shut down

By on September 10, 2013

I have  samsung sync master sa 300 n desktop monitor. it is woking fine for 2 years. but last week when i was working suddenly the monitor shutdown i waited for few seconds again it automatically turn on. After 5 minutes again tuns off. this process continues on  n  off  whole day. I got nervous and stop working.Next day the monitor is not on at all turn ON.. So i  called samsung engineer as it was under warranty. He checked the incoming power it is  14 v dc ok, he opened all the connections inside monitor and reconnected but no use .He finally concluded that there is problem in main circuit board. So he told me wait for new board to come. After he left i opened the back panel of monitor and checked all capacitors and semiconductors with my capacitance meter . they all seem to be ok to my knowledge then where could be problem.

Monitor has seperate menu sensor ckt board just in front right corner of the monitor there i touched with my finger on the open ckt board to my surprise the monitor power LED start blinking then given connection to my cpu monitor working fine so far .no problems arise touch menu working fine . But small problem is it lost power ON  and OFF touch switching function. So give me advice what to do with my samsung technician.

Answer:

Samsung LCD  monitor have high failure rates in the MCU/Flash memory program. It need to be reprogrammed to be able to function back again.

      Hi Amir,

All brands have their own problem but Samsung have the highest failure rates in term of bulged filer cap and memory corrupted. HP, Dell, BenQ are better in term of choices to choose.
