Six Time LED Blinking In SONY BRAVIA LED TV MODEL KDL-42W850A Solved And BL Blinking Fixed
This LED TV was brought to me with the complaint that the red LED at the bottom blinked six times and there was no display. This clearly indicated that the back light was the issue. As I was not having time, this TV was set aside and taken to my Techie Friend along with a few other TVs, as reported by me in my earlier articles.
We opened the set and removed the panel. As there was no dust inside the TV, it saved some time for us.
This TV was using edge LED strips, which my Techie friend was not having in stock. So, he ordered for it, after I returned back home for picking it up later.
As he replaced the side strips and made it ready, I could not cover the work with more pictures. He takes pictures only as and when necessary. This is what he sent me:
He also did a modification on the LED Driver, as the backlight was blinking. He found one SMD resistor defective and replaced it with a normal one. Here is the picture:
I went there the other day and picked it up and delivered it to the customer’s place on my way back. Here is a picture of the final work:
Customer was very much satisfied and thanked me for delivering it to his home, enabling it to get added to collection.

it is good to have a technician friends to work with. I have plenty of them here and sometimes I am too busy with work and can not keep up, I send stuff for them to repair. a job well done on the repair. have a blessed day

Just fixing and finding that very tiny defect smd resistor is a good job done! You now added the delivery job to the daily repair tasks too!
