Toshiba 32P2400ZE LED TV no picture Blue Screen Fault
I was on customer place on some work & got a call from my house very familiar voice (My Wife). Stating our TV is not working & bring the required parts when you are way back to the home. I exclaim what parts? (Normally when I am out, I receive list of order from my superior to get some grocery when way back to the home……Ha… Ha… Ha). I reached home, on arrival I got offer of a tea …. (So that I do not waste the time in any other activity & straight tackle the problem as stated).
Till the time tea is arrived I turned On the TV & found no picture Blue Screen Fault, Sound OK.
So I prepared the tools for the operation & start the inspection, Checked Connection & wires between TV & set top box seems Ok.
Now time for Inspection from inside the TV. Removed back Panel Bottom Part.
Found Logic Board Full of dust.so first of all cleaned the Logic Board & SMPS.
After cleaning I started visual inspection on smps for any physical damage or Dry solder on PCB but everything looks OK. Now I took Logic Board for inspection.
Seems ok but I want to check the situation under the heatsink. I found Heatsink is soldered on the PCB.
Desoldered the heat sink.
I found full dust on MCU Legs, cleaned the PCB again using Turpentine. & cleaned the Hole for Heat sink using desolder wick.
& after cleaning I installed the Heat sink on its place.
Now I decide to check if screen show any positive result after the cleaning. When reassembling I found the T-con cable copper pads are also oxidized.
This cable is involved to pass the display signals to panel screen.
After reassembling everything back. I turn On The TV. & I got the picture.
It was merely 20 minutes job. Now waiting for the tea……Ha…Ha…ha…
