Tv Diagnostics- Tester For LCD and Plasma TV
By Jestine Yong on January 29, 2013
One of my ERG members (Lee Davey) forwarded to me the link to the TV diagnostics website. I found the testers to be interesting. If you have got these testers we would like to hear about your opinion. For more information please click on the photo to visit the website.

HI Waleed,
I emailed Damon about this tester and here is the comment:
"This device simply detects the electromagnetic field (EMF) resonating at the drive output of a y sustain board for plasma TVs. It detects the same for the output transformers on an inverter board for LCD TVs.
In fact, the device will detect (EMF) from any device that has a high voltage frequency output or load (not only tv)
This device is simple to make because it only detects EMF, but one problem with this device is that detecting EMF from a y sustain does not mean the y sustain is working. Many times the y sustain has high voltage output drive but has a logic problem or an isolated low voltage switching error.
Maybe some beginner techs may find the device useful.
Damon.

HI MR YONG
I think a compass also can detect the EMF and 67.00 USD is a lot of money for this equipmet.
