   very interesting. I would like to see the same method being used on a IC pins that are closer to eath other.that would be just great.

   Hi Dennis B,
   Thanks for the article. I haven't studied Thermodynamics very much so I'm not too sure about the heat transferred to the PCB and it's possible effects, but your idea might be really useful especially in an emergency situation.
