Wonder How This LG Monitor Model W1953TE-PF Was Working With Dull Display!
This Monitor was brought to me with the complaint that the display was dull and when I switched it on and checked, the display was there but very dull and dark on right side. I suspected a backlight failure and took the Monitor home for urgent repair as the hospital was in urgent need.
I dismantled the Monitor and cleaned it thoroughly using vacuum cleaner as it was raining heavily and I could not use the verandah of my car porch. I was astonished to see that all capacitors in the secondary had bulged and leaked!
I wonder how the Monitor workd even in such a condition! Normally, it should have shut down!
Anyhow, I replaced the bad caps including the others. The tank cap was found ok when checked. Then put all boards back.
Then applied power and fed a signal from my tester and found the Monitor working absolutely fine! Mission accomplished with a big relief to the IT Administrator, who arranged to have it picked up from my home the next day morning.
Satisfaction coated with wonder got collected to the bag and joined with others of same creed!

And if its RCA output is connected to this also available RCA to HDMi converter it provides this video test pattern also back to HDMi inputs on monitors or tv sets!

By-the-way this RCA to HDMi converter normally only shows a blue test screen in absence of any RCA video input signal. But with the connected HDMi to RCA upscaler converter it also provides the integrated full color video test pattern in HDMi when that converter is not given any HDMi input signal.

I have a Sony lcd 32" tv with having issues of showing white pictures,pls sir what part should I suspect?

If, what you mean is white display, there are multiple reasons for it. First check the voltages that are to be present in scaler board or T-Con Board. If they are all not present, check for any shorted SMD caps in the board. Next step, in order to isolate a panel problem, cut one side of CKV lines. If it does not bring the picture back, join them and cut the other. Kindly go through the 500 articles written by me, select LCD/LED TV repair and scan through. Best of luck!

1. To the best of my rememberence, in a more recent article we are advised as a trial method to mask CKV lines rather than cutting them. 2. 1. For the sake of clarity here I come again. I believe in one of Engineer Parasuramans article
on repair of a TV screen their is an instant whereby cut off CKV lines become hard to rejoin owing to the difficulty of soldering the thin tracks. So advised accordingly; preferably the tracks would be better masked to delink the circuits temporarily, or be left intact if that turns out to be the solution. 3. complementing cleverly cherished c-chain composition by one Paterson.
