Ribbon Cable Repair Tip

The photos and information is contributed by Ken Newton from USA regarding how one could repair the ribbon cable. Ribbon cables can be found inside LCD TVs, Printer and some other equipment. Sometimes when we want to insert/reseat the ribbon cable back to the connector, it could make some of the tiny lines break and the solution is to cut off the top part area with scissors. Once done you can reuse the cable. Take a look at the photos below:
