This was brought to me with the complaint that it was getting on but no controls worked. When I opened the Cooktop, I was not surprised to see the amount of cobweb, dust and dirt inside:

After a thorough cleaning of the boards and inside of the covers, brought it onto my service table and took up the control panel board first. Replaced the six push to on rusted switches along with a single electrolytic capacitor and two ceramic caps of 101 and 104 and also a couple of rusted jumper wires.

Then retouched the board thoroughly and cleaned it using IPA. Replaced all the electrolytic caps on the main board, which used SMD components mostly.

Cleaned and lubricated the cooling fan. Let us have a look:

Then kept a water pot and tried, keeping the control panel aside. It boiled very well releasing my built in steam of anxiety! (LOL)

While fitting the control panel, I noticed that the switches were getting jammed because of the very slight difference in the height of the buttons. So provided thin washers on the bottom and fixed these with Fevibond (a type of rubber glue).

Even then one button was getting jammed, for which I just unscrewed the adjacent screw a couple of turns, upon which the function was ok. Then applied a bit of the same gum on the screw to hold it in place.

The cooktop was checked in my kitchen a few times and was found to be working very well.

Mission accomplished and satisfaction got added to the collection.
