Jumping Double Image Problem Solved In Samsung LED TV Model UA43AU7700KLXL
This TV was brought by a new customer accompanied by a known person, when I was not in the house. The complaint given was up & down jumping problem with double images. I took up the TV after my return. Two legs at the bottom have to be pulled out as there are no screws on the back cover on this TV. Opened the screw less back cover using a prying tool from all three sides except the bottom, where COFs of scaler boards would be there. Those of you who want to know how to open such a TV may please see my previous article on a similar set:
I did a thorough cleaning of the inside. Let us have a look of the inside of this TV, motherboard of which has Tcon in it.
There are two scaler boards with inter connecting FPC, with a Single large size FFC from the mother board to one of the scalar boards. Each scalar board had six COFs.
The PS board reference is BA43FA130 and that of the Mother board is KANT-SU2E-AU7000. I took clear photos of all the COFs on the left and right side and sent it to my techie friend who always helps me. He asked me first to detach the FPC cable and check whether the jumping problem was there or not. I removed the FPC and checked. One side picture was stable, indicating that the panel short was on the left side.
Out of the six COFs on that side of the scalar board, one had LC1, LC2 & CKV Lines marked from 1 to 8. I was advised to remove the 100 ohm resistors of LC1 & LC2 to isolate that connection to the panel, and see. This is an intricate work, as we need precise removal with concentration, focus and it is a bit eye straining too. I used my special soldering iron setting temperature to 400 and used PPD paste to remove these two very tiny resistors using 10X lens for a proper view.

But just isolating the LC1 & LC2 did not solve the problem. Then he advised me to remove CKV1, 2 & 3. Once again I got engaged in removing these three tiny resistors like before. I had to take a break and allow my eyes to recover from the strain. Let us have a look at the related pictures:
Then what happened? The picture was steady as the panel internal shorts had been bypassed! Let us have a look at the result:
The TV was left on for a few hours and found to be working very well, after which I informed the customer sharing the video. As one of my another techiefriend visited me, I took his help to go to the customer’s place and install the TV there, which was very kindly handled by him. One question nagged me; was I taking undue advantages of the regards shown by my techiefriends? But from the reactions and further readiness to provide any help to me, showed that they were all only too glad to guide, help and assist me! Something I may have to be really thankful to them and God!
I cautioned the customer that what I have done was a temporary bypass surgery and the best solution was change of panel.
Mission accomplished with satisfaction and learning getting added to the collections!

Wonderfully done. It's always satisfying to save from the pollution that would have caused had it not been saved. Continue to help.Greatly appreciated.

Regardless of the help rendered by your friend, I have to congratulate you on the excellent repair Sir, though it is called a temporary repair as it requires change of panel.
