Backlight Issues In HAIER LE39B900 And SHARP LC32M300M Solved

As mentioned by me in my previous articles, I gain more experiences when I visit my friend’s shop, which is focusing more on panel bonding cases. The following two cases are out of such visits.

  1. HAIER LE39B900 :- Complaint reported : No back light

After opening the set and inspection, I found that three capacitors of values 470/25 and 330/25 were found burst!

I replaced all the three capacitors with higher voltage caps as the exact replacements were not available. I had to bend the caps to accommodate these within the space available.

The set worked very well after replacement of these three caps and I closed the back cover and left it on for testing.

  1. SHARP LC32M300M:- Complaint reported : Flickering backlight

On opening the back cover, one cap in the power supply was found bulged.

Once I replaced this cap, the set worked perfectly well.

Both works finished very easily, without any compromise in adding satisfactions to the collection bag.

By the way, I was intrigued by many simple cases that came to the shop, whereas I seem to be a center of attraction in getting mainly very complicated cases! (LOL)

I agree. I too seem to attract complicated repairs. Good work.

The SHARP LC32M300M with flickering backlight looks very much like the issue with another 32 inch tv I had found. Which also was easily fixed by only replacing one bulged cap in a Samsung UE32EH5000 tv. Good to see that they apparently start making easily fixable models now! (lol)

Yes, I have seen 'pregnant' capacitors in many of these circuits. The green caps are better to be replaced even in a new board! They are of poor quality. Many thanks for your observing comments!
