Battery Operated Mini Color Stirrer Repaired For Not Working
Received mini color stirrer for repair, stating problem not working.
Opened the unit for inspection & found Batteries are leaked inside & contacts are oxidized.
Cleaned the contacts & checked unit by inserting new batteries still did not work.
Checked motor, showing open coil.
Tested two contacts one by one to the motor Metal body, one contact showing short.
So I again looked in working of stirrer, I found this is not shorting, they contacted that way so that it is used for ON/Off switch.
Leaf works as switch when get contact with Motors metal body when pressing from the outside.
So here culprit is the motor itself & required replacement.
So I give Motor sample to my parts provider so that he can find out the replacement for me. He contacted me after one week & told he got the motor but shaft is little longer than the original & check if it works for you.
I compared both the motors.
Checked coupler plastic bushing, it is through hollow & fit to the motor shaft without problem.
Now I just need to short one Motor contact with the metal body.
After the modification I reassambled every thing for testing.
Pressed top button and unit starts working.

Motors are like capacitors having a short life span especially the ones with brushes.
Someone once gave me such a stirrer as a gift but I never use it because I find it hardly useful.
