CIRCA BP Monitoring Machine Error 3
The BP monitoring machine which was repaired earlier has come back and this time it shows Error-3.
The pump motor was replaced earlier as it would get stuck on certain readings and was fixed.

Now the symptom is when we start the process; it reaching to some reading ,Every time reading is different between 0 to 15 & it stop working with Error -3.
Now Common Cause for “Error 3” is Issues with Air Pressure, the tubing is leaking or some pipes are loose.
First of all, I checked for air leakage in the cuff, so I took out the cuff connection pipe and blew air through the pipe to see if the cuff inflates properly and maintains pressure. found Cuff is Ok.
Now time to inspect the Machine from inside.
The PCB was checked for any physical or liquid damage, but it appears to be in good condition.
Now remover all rubber pipes for checking that also found ok.
Now time to check pump motor so I turned on the device & checked Motor seems Ok motor shaft is spinning. Put thumb on the pump to check air pressure to see any change in reading but showing same problem.
The original motor pump sticker I removed when last time I repaired this unit and pasted it on the back of the unit for future reference because original motor pump was Replaced & new replaced motor was not having any specification marking on it. (at that time Later, I felt that it should have been attached to the new replaced motor itself).
I opened the Motor pump for inspection. Before disassembling, always mark the lines to avoid mistakes in matching the screw holes’ position when reassembling. Motor Pump Top unit divided in 3 parts.
1) Motor Pulley where Diaphragm Rubber Cup Mechanism fits.
2) Diaphragm Rubber Cup Mechanism
3) Air outlet for Rubber pipe connection.
The rubber cup was inspected to see if it was torn anywhere then Clean everything using IPA. and refitted everything. Grabbing CUFF unit in hand I applied power to the unit & I found it is now creating proper pressure.
Now before final fitting I took some Clear photographs to identify SMD Parts Codes.
Now I made my habit to note down the Parts & retain photos of wiring if required in future repair Like this.
Now this is final result. Now unit is fixed & ready for pickup.

Very informative and educative article. But I deduced that the pump had some dust collected which prevented proper function, as the article did not specify the reason for malfunction. Am I right?

Thank You! Sir,
there was no dust inside, but the diaphragm rubber cups may have gotten stuck or may be not performing well, and may snapped into its' place when the motor was opened, as I'm not sure about the motor when I replaced it, as it wasn't original.
