Repaired Desktop Computer ATX SMPS

Received Desktop computer for not working problem. Connected computer on my desk and turned it ON. No sign of life – no power, which straight indicating problem with power unit. Removed power supply from the PC. on visual inspection I found Power Cable Socket broken from inside.

So disassembled the SMPS for repairing.

I arranged one socket salvaged from old SMPS parts…..

Arranged socket and connected on the PCB.

Old Broken connector is of On-Board PCB pin Type. So I used thick Copper wire to connect the replacement socket.

In this process I found One Bulged Capacitor on Secondary supply side.

I replaced the same.

Soldered the connector Properly…..

Connected the SMPS Back to the Computer & it is working now.
