Replacing A Charging Port On A Bluetooth Speaker Board.
A technician and also a friend of mine brought this device for port replacement. This technician did not have the charging port for replacement so he sends it to me to do that job.
He already took the board out and from what I saw; the area of that charging port was a big mess.
As you can see, it was covered with epoxy and it had to be removed and cleaned.
And if you look the soldering job done there, it is even worse than the epoxy itself.
Here I have a variety of charging ports that fits almost all phone except iphone of course.
I have taken the old charging port off board, cleaned the area, found the right replacement and then tested the board.
The middle three pins were not connected to anything so the only pins that needed to be soldered to the board was the ground and the hot which was very easy to do.
And as it is seen in the photo, the charging LED light came on which is an indication that all went well.
Mission Accomplished.

As a professional repair engineer you also have a good sense of the things that are required to have in stock for cases like these. Recently I also ordered a set of several of those MicroUSB connectors. They are frequently needed. Not only for repair but also for building new electronic projects.

Albert: indeed and I am in the processing of ordering more to be sold for technicians and for repair parts in the shop. it is the way to go otherwise, I am sitting in the shop waiting for parts and customers do not want that kind of wait. have a blessed day

Now a days customers are not ready to wait for the part if they have more options of technicians. if want to survive in this industry and having exclusive repair shop it is better to keep some running parts handy.

How much would be the cost ofthe Mainboard of the Bluetooth Driver,Is it available in Electronic Stores?
It seems that some parts are missing so I decide to replaced the whole board.
