SONY CYBER Shot Battery Charger Repaired

I took out my Sony Cyber Shot camera for some use but found Battery was totally drained. So attached on charger but it is not showing any charging indication. It turns of indicator light when Battery is fully charged …. but I know this camera was not used for more than six months hence it was not turning ON.

So for further inspection I opened the charger.

Found many dry solder points on the PCB.

Refreshed all dry solder points.

Reassembled the unit & turned ON the power.

Now it start working.

It took 4 hours to fully charge the Battery …after charging I connected it on my camera.

Now it shows full battery charged icon on the camera & camera working fine.

Good article! Dry solder is the main culprit for malfunctioning of electronic devices!
