Crystal Oscillator Found Defective In LLOYD Air Conditioner Remote Control
This Remote Control belonged to a Community Utility Hall, where I too am an Executive member. It was brought to me with the complaint that it did not show any display even after replacing the battery.
I pried open the sides after removing a single fixing screw inside the battery compartment. As usual cleaned the inside using IPA, especially the button and display contacts.
I applied a 3V power directly to the board and checked, but nothing worked and it was still dead. The IR emitter was checked using Analogue Multimeter and found ok. (We can use the mobile camera to detect IR emissions) The next step was to replace the 32.768 KHz crystal oscillator. After replacing it, the RC got back its life and it worked perfectly!
I assembled the RC back and checked it in Mobile Camera and found that all buttons were working very well. (Just for those who do not know this: Keep the mobile camera on a stand, keep the RC emitter [White LED] facing the camera and press buttons to see red light emission)
The manager was very happy to have got back the RC so fast. The service was totally free as a part of my commitment.

Good job Sir. Saved the RC from e-waste. From where did you got the spare Cristal oscillator?

I exactly understand why that manager was so pleased to get his RC back in working order again. Most of these older airconditioners become no longer available models. Which means that new models have new remote controllers and different matching air conditioners.
Why those newer remotes most likely no longer do work on older models and vice versa.

First find out Bluetooth Pairing Combination buttons of your Remote Brand from user manual,every remote have different combinations,
1) Now First remove the battery from the remote.
2) in your Mobile turn on Bluetooth discovery mode.
3) now put the battery back in to your remote.
4) press the Pairing enable combination keys on Remote.
5) now your Mobile will discover /Detect your Remote Brand...
Just pair it to your mobile.
6) after pairing your Remote is ready to work with the mobile.
every Remote is programmed/ Behave differently as per the device made for
hence every key of remote behave on their own way in the mobile screen.
