Why Electrolytic Capacitors Would Not Last?
Hi Jestine,
I hope you are okay, its been along time. I have this problem with server power supplies, they seam break one
after another (in different servers). I noticed the first one that fans could spin, but the server could not
power up. When i opened the PSU, i saw that a few capacitors were bulged. When i replaced with new ones, the server come back alive. Two weeks later another server has done the same thing. Just showing that its on standby, i noticed that two capacitors were bulged too, replaced them and its now ok.
Can this be a problem with over voltages or that the servers are not being cooled sufficiently? Please help.

Hi, e-caps nowadays are affected for some reasons:
* Bad quality of the component.
* Voltage must be taken into consideration.

Hi, e-caps nowadays are affected for some reasons, I'll tell you some:
* Bad quality of the component.
* Voltage must be taken into consideration.
* The temperature at which it works is a very important fact. Sometimes it's necessary ventilation by means of fans, such as: SMPS in PCs, some Audio Amplifiers, etc.
